Current Need

We are seeking a Slotting Analyst to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Position Description

The Slotting Analyst is responsible for the design, analytics and modeling of product slotting to support improved space utilization, storage media selection, and pick path productivity within the Distribution Center (DC) Network. The scope of responsibility will include both generating greenfield designs and optimizing existing DCs.

Key Responsibilities:
Use analytical experience and slotting expertise to define business strategy and present fact-based recommendations to senior Corporate and Field leadership.

Convert raw data into insights and actionable intelligence

Develop models and analyses using Excel, Access and Manhattan

Present recommendations to leadership using data visualizations, charts and graphs.

Build models to support what-if scenarios using linear and non-linear programming methods.

Discover slotting improvement opportunities including ABC Analysis, cubic movement, storage type, consolidation, SKU affinity, and warehouse zoning/sequencing.

Independently assess key areas of DC operations that need analytical support.

Support planning and execution of DC slotting processes

Partner with operations leadership to monitor progress against desired business outcomes

Aid in the planning and documentation of both functional and technical business requirements needed to create improved and sustainable slotting processes for the McKesson DC Network.

May perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

5+ years experience in data analytics or warehouse/supply chain operations

Critical Skills

Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel- Pivots, VLookups, Sum/Ifs)

Strong technical and analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Knowledge & Skills

General working knowledge of SQL, VBA, and data visualization programs such as Tableau or Power BI

Statistical modeling experience

Education

BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.

Travel Requirements

Up to 20% travel to DC locations for training and project planning & support.
