Here within our Concord clinic, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Medical Receptionist, known here at Genesis Care as the Senior Patient Services Officer. You’ll be responsible for the leadership and support of the administration team in the delivery of high quality patient centred services.
This is a hands-on role, responsible for providing direction and accountability on daily matters pertaining to the reception and patient administration services.
Reporting to the Centre Leader on site and working as part of the broader Oncology team, this position will require a flexible and motivated individual, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
Who you are:
Demonstrate experience in managing and leading a team of 3 or more staff
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient service in a healthcare environment
Strong experience in medical administration and reception management
Strong management and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with and effectively influence staff & patients
Demonstrated understanding of and ability to provide excellent leadership in line with the organisation’s values.
A collaborative approach to delivering exceptional patient centred services.
Willingness and ability to proactively implement continuous improvement and change initiatives.
Able to effectively and collaboratively solve problems as they arise.
High level Medical accounts processing skills including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health funds
Ability to use clinical administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office software for data analysis and reporting purposes
Diploma of Business/Medical Administration or equivalent experience
