QC Analyst- Chemistry Job at MSD – in Cork, County Cork

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a QC Analyst -Chemistry 11-month FTC. The purpose of the QC Analyst is to perform testing of samples to support the Quality release of our products. The team working style is one of collaboration, coaching and facilitating to provide solutions to the Quality team in supporting a High-Performance Organisation.

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

Ensure highest Quality & Compliance standards.

Analysis, release and testing of samples.

Documentation in compliance with GMP and GxP and Data Integrity standards.

Compliance with 6S standards.

Problem solving to get to root cause of issues.

Support Laboratory Investigations

Responsible for supporting a culture of Continuous Improvement by using our company Six Sigma tools in your daily work.

What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

Degree in Science or related discipline.

Preference for Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt

Knowledge of working practices required for a Chemistry laboratory

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to plan and organize effective and efficient work schedules.

Ability to set and maintain high standards of laboratory housekeeping.

Demonstrated ability to problem solve.

Ability to respond to changing priorities

Demonstrated ability to fully realize improvement initiatives.

PC skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Demonstrated knowledge in more than one pharmaceutical and/or chemical manufacturing operation (e.g. Quality, Science etc).

At least three years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment which includes experience in a QC Laboratory or equivalent – as applicable.

A good knowledge of cGMP, GLP, site and corporate Quality Systems
