About the role:
The Lifestyle Co-Ordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of leisure and social opportunities in conjunction with residents, families and other members of the healthcare team – this includes program and care plan development, and input into lifestyle expenditure.

The role also includes working collaboratively with clinical staff in providing guidance to, for example, Personal Support Workers and Lifestyle Assistants, to ensure residents are encouraged to actively participate in leisure activities of interest to them, and residents’ other needs, such as emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs are also supported. The Lifestyle Coordinator reports directly to the Residence Manager.

Skills and Experience:
Successful applicants must have a Cert IV or Diploma in Lifestyle and Leisure or equivalent

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Current First Aid Certificate is essential

Experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative lifestyle events

Experience as a Lifestyle Coordinator in Aged Care is highly desirable

Ability to involve community, relatives, staff and volunteers

Develop strategies to increase resident participation

Ensure all events run smoothly and to budget while meeting expectation of residents

The capacity to work well autonomously and be a team player

An approachable and caring demeanor

A pro-active and energetic self-starter with a strong customer service focus

Proven success in contributing to service excellence and promotional activities

Established background in events management, project management and people management

Must have a current driver’s license

All applicants are required to undergo a National Police Record Check. Please note: Police check is required to be within 6 months of the issue date.

All applicants are required to undergo a NDIS Worker Screening Check.

All successful applicants will be required to have an influenza vaccination as an inherent requirement of the role

COVID-19 Vaccination Record (From 31 October 2021, 2 x COVID-19 vaccinations will be mandatory for all residential aged care workers)
