A division of Bupa, “Bupa Telehealth” provides tailored advice and guidance to help our customers manage their health and navigate the complex health system. Through our health coaching programs (phone based and on-line) we empower customers to take action to achieve their health goals. We find the right resources and support to help our members manage their health risks or any ongoing condition.
As part of the Bupa Telehealth team, you will be joining a group of highly skilled health professionals who support our customers with:
Preventative Health and Wellbeing Coaching
Management of existing chronic conditions such as Diabetes and Heart Disease
Hospital discharge planning and support
The Health Coach provides a range of current evidence-based health information to support individuals during the telephone based coaching experience. Incorporating health behaviour change interventions and techniques, the primary focus is to motivate and inform customers regarding their health and wellbeing choices. All with the goal to help them become a more active and engaged participant in the management of their own health.
We have multiple full and part time (4 days/week) positions available, across both permanent and fixed term contracts. Our head office is based in Melbourne CBD, with the team currently working remotely from home. This role will offer flexibility to work both from the office and from home on an ongoing basis. You will be working 8-hour shifts on a fixed roster Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 am to 7.00 pm (you would work one late shift to 7pm each fortnight)
Motivate and inform customers through their health care choices utilising person-centred behaviour change techniques and approved Health Coaching tools and resources
Assist customers in developing action plans to address opportunities for health improvements that are valuable to the customer
Achieve individual productivity measures including recruitment volumes (by outbound calling) of new customers and call quality standards, as well as support for the attainment of team goals and business growth initiatives
Manage an individual caseload of customers , scheduling and managing all coaching interventions in line with program guidelines
This role would suit a health professional with well-developed clinical and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to educate and motivate individuals. You will enjoy quality and detailed work, whilst providing high quality service to clients and meeting targets. The role requires a focus on achieving consistent outcomes and not being afraid to engage with new clients over the phone to sell them the benefits of these programs.
To succeed in this role requires flexibility, a high level of technology skills and the ability to deal with a changing environment.
You will have:
A Health Care professional qualification as a: Dietitian or Division 1 Registered Nurse (with current AHPRA)
Minimum 2-3yrs experience working within acute, community, chronic disease management or health promotion management settings
Experience in Health Coaching is highly desired
