Job Summary:
Cultivate, steward, and expand the relationships between UMMC and its donors by providing extraordinary service to donors and exceeding expectations in the areas of maintaining and managing donor information.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree and one year of customer service or similar experience. Medical center or non-profit data entry experience, raiser’s edge or advance experience, and mail/merge experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good organizational skills to perform in a detailed, team focused environment. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Ability to quickly prioritize data entry projects, review work for accuracy, and complete in timely manner. Ability to exercise tact, patience, and courtesy. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must have interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative and effective internal and external working relationships. Must have working knowledge of typical computer systems, tools and programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage walk in donations (in kind and monetary donations) for UMMC patients.
Provide excellent and timely customer service to donors who request information including current needs, recent and past donations and other donor records.
Review and record within donor database all corporate, individual and event gifts and pledges daily.
Ensure policies and procedures are followed for all donations.
Prepare and distribute receipts and acknowledgements to donors.
Work with UMMC staff to determine current needs for specific areas throughout the medical center and to distribute donated items to those areas.
Maintain an inventory of and proper storage protocols for all in kind donations.
Assist in donor cultivation and stewardship events as needed.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Requires occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, frequent driving, occasional reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, and frequent walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
