About the role:
The Finance Business Partner Lead role is based in the Takeda Ireland Ltd Grange Castle Cell Therapy Manufacturing division and reports directly into the Finance Director. Responsibilities include:

Lead on Finance topics in the Cell Therapy (P3) facility at Grange Castle, including, decision support, financial planning & forecasting, manufacturing performance analysis and product costing.

Provide strategic direction to P3 Leadership team in achieving the plant goals.

As a member of the P3 Leadership Team, provide financial insights/solutions.

Optional hybrid work model.

How you will contribute:
Financial Planning and Analysis

Establish and maintain a rigorous budget planning/forecasting process with Site Management to deliver MRP (mid-range plan) and MYC (mid-year commitment),

Partner with Site Management to prepare detailed financial plans, including volume, FTE, detailed P&L and capital expenditure.

Prepare plan presentation packs with supporting schedules illustrating the business story beyond the numbers and all potential risks and opportunities.

Present proposed plans to the Finance Director and to the P3 Leadership Team.

Perform annual product unit standard cost estimates in alignment with the Site Finance Leads

Corporate Reporting

Prepare and present monthly manufacturing and project financial performance results with appropriate analysis for the Finance Director and P3 Leadership Team for review and discussion.

Advise P3 Leadership Team of any new future risks that may impact achieving planned financial results.

Ensure closure of all actions from the monthly review process in a timely manner to ensure delivery of financial KPIs.

Business Support

Drive financial awareness and Financial KPI delivery with the P3 Leadership Team.

Undertake appropriate review and analysis of all deviations from Plan (Operating spend, labour and materials manufacturing variances, Purchase Price Variance, Capital expenditure, FTE) to guide local decision making and follow through on any remediation actions.

Build strong relationships with TBS community and the Takeda controlling network to ensure we maximise support to the business and share best practice.

Continually seek to improve financial reporting and analysis processes.

Deliver high-quality insights, integrated decision support, predictive scenario planning and step-change solutions for the site and challenge status quo.

Support preparation of business cases to support productivity improvements and significant site investments.

Compliance & Internal control

Support execution of fiduciary and statutory obligations, overseeing compliance requirements,

Continuously enhance the control environment and ensure adherence to all policies. Oversee local SOX & controls planning, implementation, remediation and risk assessment.

Meet site statutory financial reporting – IFRS, J-SOX/US-SOX – and compliance requirements.

Represent the company in non-GMP Compliance Audits

Review the annual physical inventory count and fixed asset verification

What you bring to Takeda:
CIMA, CPA, ACA,ACCA, qualified andor Masters in Finance or MBA education preferred.

Minimum of 3 years accounting/finance experience, ideally in the Pharmaceutical / Biotech Manufacturing sector, with exposure to manufacturing process accounting (standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis).

Sound and up to date knowledge of UKUS GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

Strong analytical skills.

Proficient systems skills (SAP ECC6, Excel, Powerpoint,)

Hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to persuasively convey critical elements of complex issues.

Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

Work in a cold, wet environment.

Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.

Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
