Database Administrator

A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Design and implement database related deliverables for Radiology, Workflow and Cloud Solution products

Establish and maintain performance baselines, troubleshoot performance issues and provide recommendations/fixes for identified issues.

Ability to write, troubleshoot and optimize SQL and provide code review and guideline for application developer

Ensure security, auditing and capacity planning of relational and non-relational databases.

Develop database related documentation

Working with support or cloud operation departments to resolve customer database issues

Implement custom database projects such as data cleansing, EMPI, database merging/splitting, etc.

Train Engineering/Support/Services/CloudOps departments on database technologies

Job Qualification:
4 + years Relational Database Administration Experience

2+ years of Cloud environment experience (AWS, Azure, Google or any other)

Strong experience with Windows and Linux Scripting languages

Must have experience with Agile development environment

NoSQL Database Administration and design Experience preferred

Experience with Document Stores (Couchbase or MongoDB) and NoSQL Databases like HBase, Cassandra etc. in CI/CD environment preferred

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
