United Health Services is seeking a full time Clinical Manager of Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging for a position based in Johnson City, New York. The successful candidate will join United Health Services Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging Departments, which serve patients by providing comprehensive radiologic and diagnostic imaging services including x-rays, MRIs, ultrasounds, CT scans, nuclear medicine studies, interventional radiology procedures, and breast imaging using the latest technology available.

Clinical Manager of Radiology

Responsibilities

Collects and evaluates data to assist in the measurement of departmental performance and trends and monitors the use of resources in accordance with departmental plans and budgets

Develops and maintains departmental policies and procedures while providing guidelines for decision making

Reviews and revises departmental service delivery standards, which account for patient, physician, staff, and other customer needs

Coordinates all patient incident reviews and physician, patient, and staff complaints

Serves as a consultant to internal and external sources for diagnostic imaging and radiology services; serves as a liaison with all departments, administration, and medical staff to facilitate effective communication

Serves as the primary resource to assist Human Resources in hiring and onboarding Radiology’s professional staff and support staff; manages the progressive disciplinary process

Provides direction to the Assistant Clinical Manager, professional staff, and support staff with regard to policy adherence and current practice trends

Evaluates new equipment and associated costs and provides projections for diagnostic imaging and radiology equipment/modality for our five-year capital plan

Develops plans for the installation of new equipment and participates in on-site inspections of radiology equipment

Recommends, modifies, and implements charge description master procedures for charges for services

Assists in the development of the Radiology Department’s CQI initiatives and peer review process; ensures a high level of preparedness/compliance with the survey process with JCAHO, OSHM, and NYS Department of Health Ionizing Radiation Standards

Required

Educationand Experience

Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or related radiologic modality and/or a bachelor’s degree in health science management with ten years of supervisory/management experience and proven clinical skills
NYS license as Radiologic Technologist and registration in one or more of the following imaging modalities:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
