Annual salary: $66,000-$70,000 plus superannuation and salary packaging benefits



Opportunities exist to join the Western Public Health Unit in the role of Administrative and Business Systems Assistant.

The Western Public Health Unit has been established to strengthen the public health response to infectious diseases and other health issues. The Unit is part of a system of three metropolitan Public Health Units, Western (WPHU), North-eastern (NEPHU), South-eastern (SEPHU) and six regional Public Health Units providing a state-wide system of public health delivery and oversight.

The Administrative and Business Systems Assistant is responsible for delivering a professional, caring and customer focussed service for consumers and service providers. The Administrative assistant will provide support for general office and business procedures ensuring data for the WPHU is accurately captured, is current and entered into the information systems in a timely manner. The main tasks will include incoming telephone and email enquiries, word processing, statistical data entry and collation across multiple health system platforms, spreadsheet development and maintenance and quality assurance projects.

To be Successful in this Role you

Completion of a TAFE accredited clerical training certificate and/or proven success in a similar role.

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, telephone and written skills

Proven ability to build productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders and work as part of a team.

Experience and adaptability with various IT platforms, healthcare systems software, and well developed knowledge of MS Office products such as Microsoft Excel.

Ability to deliver a high quality service in a busy and dynamic environment.

Strong organisational skills, with capacity to multi-task and prioritise workload.
